5 years ago, I designed the Pornhub player. To this day it remains untouched and is used over 500 million times per day. One of the challenges was to give the user a visual of where the most popular actions were. We came up with a simple graph that we called "Hotspots". We also added Action tags- A simple hover feature where the user can view different actions.
